    Home Trails

DaveVT posted this in the VT,NH,ME forum and I thought it was a cool idea so I am going to do it here.

What trail network would you consider your "Home Trails"?
What do you like most about your "Home Court"?
What changes or improvements in management or use would you like to see happen this season?
What do you see as the biggest threat to your personal enjoyment of your local riding area?

    Thanks DaveVT!

Like - Wide variety of terrain, able to link 20-30 miles
    Improvements/Changes - None
Biggest Threat - Too many weekend events, building more paved trails

What trail network would you consider your "Home Trails"? Callahan State Park
What do you like most about your "Home Court"? Proximity to my living room
What changes or improvements in management or use would you like to see happen this season? Trail maintenance, use of volunteer resources (NEMBA), opening of SVT trails
What do you see as the biggest threat to your personal enjoyment of your local riding area? Trail erosion due to poor building, renegade riders damaging relationship with SVT

All this changes in June when I move and am like <10 minutes from Rayburn!

I suppose I should answer my own questions.

What trail network would you consider your "Home Trails"? Callahan

What do you like most about your "Home Court"? It is super close to my house

What changes or improvements in management or use would you like to see happen this season? I'd like DCR to allow mountain bikers to build some purpose built trails. I'd also like to see the issue of erosion be addressed as half the trails seem to be washing away.

What do you see as the biggest threat to your personal enjoyment of your local riding area? Horses ruining the trails by creating huge holes and dropping shit everywhere. DCR not giving a shit about Callahan.

What trail network would you consider your "Home Trails"? Sutton State Forest aka Mendon Rd.
What do you like most about your "Home Court"? My home abuts the property, my trailhead is in my back yard next to my shed.
What changes or improvements in management or use would you like to see happen this season? There is no management, which is probably what I would like to see most. Specifically would like to see some organization around keeping people off the trails when they are wet in late winter/early spring. Sadly, it's many locals that are offenders.
What do you see as the biggest threat to your personal enjoyment of your local riding area? Some of the land is owned by the local water company and if they raised objections I fear a wide spread ban on recreational use.
