    Holyoke Range/Berkshires

Any first hand information on how the thaw is going on the Holyoke Range, either Earl's or the Bachelor St. trails? Also the status of trails around Lenox, MA?

Thanks for any updates-still lots of snow and good winter riding in central VT.

Batchelor street is in good shape. there's still some ice in the lower areas (entrance exam) and in some shady spots, and plenty of mud, but it's ready for riding.

    Holyoke

Sounds good-with a little rain and the warm weather coming on Tuesday, that should really push it along.

    Batchelor St. good conditions

I rode B. St. Thursday after work. Very good conditions in most spots. I did not ride over on the Entrance Exam/Far East side though. The access roads are soft, but most of the singletrack is in very good shape. The only trails that were not great were the bottom of Twister where it goes back into the woods. The higher end of Twister was in very good condition. Serpentine had some random slush/ice spots, and the lower end of the IMBA trail had a few soft areas. Other than that, I was suprised at how firm most of the place already was. I would think that Earl's Trails are not nearly as good yet since they are on the north side while B St. has the southerly exposure. Fortunately, zero snow fell on Friday down here while Wendell got another 2-3 inches.
