    Got snow?

Thinking of coming down to Lynn or Vietnam this weekend from Portland, do you guys have snow?

    Thanks

Not at the moment. We may get some overnight, but it should also melt quickly as the rain and higher temps come in behind it tomorrow.

there's also talk about some weather on Fri/Sat but not sure about that yet.

Not looking good right now. Rode beverly commons today and it was in great shape with everything from the other day having melted, and the ground refrozen. A couple inches tonight plus more wetness on saturday daytime may put riding on hold around here though.

How are things shaping up for Sunday? Looks like the Cape may have just as much snow as the South Shore.

I can't speak for Cape Cod but Cape Anne is getting a bunch of snow right now. I just went for a quick spin and it's getting to the point of unrideability. We're supposed to get 3 to 6 and the other Cape is supposed to get more so put away the bikes for now. Gonna rain on Monday which should wash it all away.

FYI - Cape is getting blanketed with snow. May end up with 5-8" by time it's all said and done.

We got 3-4 over 2 from the other day. Rode Duxbury this morning, was getting tough to climb towards the end of the ride.

Next week will be a slushy, muddy mess with the warm temps coming in.

Let us know how it was. I ride Wompy every Sunday, but I chose to sleep in today and hit the gym instead. I'm thinking it will clear up during the week and be rideable by next weekend.

un-rideable currently. I ended up riding on the road instead. Seems to be about 6 inches of snow in there and it was very powdery and hard to get any traction on.

Things around here on the north shore will hopefully melt down with the incoming rain and warm weather this week and then refreeze for next weekend. Still thinking of heading over to willowdale before the game this afternoon just for kicks.

Took the pugs out to Dux this morning. About 5" of fluff, even difficult for the pugs. It was my first ride with the front tire set up tubeless, ended in a flat at less than 3 miles. Stashed the bike and took a hike instead.

After a little melt/refreeze this week, things should be crusty and rideable.

No snow now here on the north shore. I'm sure it's a sloppy mess out there now but it should be cold enough tonight to freeze up the ground a bit. Tomorrow and thursday, it's game on.

The sun is out at Nickerson and it's clear, but it will be wet for another day or two.

I rode the secret trails in Burlington (not the Landlocked)Tuesday and it was muddy ,but fun. The ground was frozen with a skim of mud on top. 56 degrees in Jan. Thanks Al Gore.

Just got back from there. HP is clear of snow and ice, but a bit muddy. Today might be your best bet until sometime next week though considering they're calling for close to an inch of rain tonight and tomorrow.

HP was a bit wet and soft but rideable for the most part, just a little slick on the rocks this afternoon after a bit of rain. Should be better tomorrow, especially if you can get out earlier than I did today.

Figured I'd bump this up. We've got about 4 inches on the ground here in Georgetown, I believe they got even more over towards Harold Parker and LDTF. Anyone out on cape anne know if Gloucester got less snow? How about Vietnam or the south shore. Anyone speak for Wompatuck? I'm desperate to ride tomorrow and would rather not drive all the way to RI or the cape...

I figure that I have to drive anyways, so I'm heading to the Cape. By tomorrow afternoon the trails should be pretty dry.

Well that solves it then. I'd rather drive 30 minutes to gloucester than 2+ hours to the cape. Thanks for the scouting report MBD.

Just got back from Thompson St. It rode pretty nicely. Slickrock was dry obviously, some lower trails were wet but I stuck mostly to the rocky stuff. Weather looks promising for the week. Near 60 and sunny for wed/thurs/fri. Gotta love this "winter" riding.

Rode Ravenswood Park in Gloucester yesterday afternoon. Was a nice ride, muddy in two or three places but overall pretty dry and in good shape.

    No snow anywhere.

LDT is super dry. Very few muddy areas and the dirt is sticky but fast. It was so sweet I came back for my bike. Just walked in from riding.
    Enjoy!
