    Formula Brakes
    Hello everyone/anyone.
I just purchased a new set of Formula R1 brakes.
I am in need of a bike shop that is familiar cutting and installing Formula brakes.
    Any suggestions?

Those R1's come with an extra barbed adapter and ferrule that slide right on to the newly cut end. Don't worry about losing a drip or two of fluid. I'm running the same brakes on my bike and had to cut both to shorten them and to feed them through a gusset. Cut the end with a cable cutter and open the hole back up with an awl. Slide the ferrule on then push the adapter into the end and screw it back together. They'll still grab like no other brake you've ever tried. Remember the first time you got on a bike with a pair of v-brakes after riding canti's? Like that. Like easy does it or you'll kiss the ground quick. Takes a little getting used to and you may even be tempted to let a little fluid out to soften them up, but after a few rides they feel real nice. Modulation is more of a mental thing with them cause it doesn't take much force to lock them up. Good luck
