    Easy 5 Mile Loop

    Hi Everyone,

I am looking for an easy 5 mile Single track loop for a 1st Time mountainbiker. The 1st timer would be my wife, mid 40's and doesn't want to get hurt. All my riding places are very techy rocky "um it is New England" rides. I am from Attleboro in eastern MA but willing to travel some. Does any one have any suggestions?

Great brook in Acton, but there has to be something closer.

Destruction Brook in South Dartmouth is pretty easy. About 8 miles of trails, mostly double track. Its pretty tame, with just a few sections of singletrack.

Copicut Woods in Fall River is fairly easy too, but there are more rocks and it might be a stretch to get five miles of "easy" trails. If you go deeper into the woods here you head into Freetown SF.

Rocky Woods/Factory Folk in Medfield is a good choice. All hard pack double track with some single track and moderate hill climbs. I live in N. Attleboro not that far a drive. My wife took her first ride in 6 months after recovering from vertebrate fracture so we picked a melo place. Boarderland in Easton has a dirt road that goes around the ponds but is crowded with people walking. I would not go to foxboro. The forest roads are all washed out loose rock. Big River in RI is pretty much non-technical single track but not easy to navigate.

    Great Brook-Carlisle
    Adams Farm-Walpole
    Ribbon Candy/Plummers Landing-Northbridge

Adams Farm is my 1st choice. My wife and my 2 kids(6-9) ride there all the time.
