Did you get out and ride today? Thought this was supposed to be winter!

I rode F. Gilbert Hills today in Foxboro. Being out on the trails was amazing. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. For a minute I felt like I was back in California......just picked up some cold weather gear so I am ready once winter finally hits.

Decided to explore new trails on Cape Cod that Bill Boles wrote about in this month,s NEMBA magazine. Spent the afternoon in Yarmouth on some great little known conservation land.

Cold cloudy & gray... like January, which happens to be my new favorite month in New England. Waxing, scraping, waxing, scraping the tele's & nordic's is a lot of ****ing effort. SS'ing frozen dry trails is not.

Tears. Got a late start but it was a nice clear night. Did not need the lights till almost 5pm.
I guess all "I'm not in shape because I couldn't ride all winter" excuses are cancelled...

I was out on the trails yesterday at Belmont/Western Greenway. The place was busier than I've ever seen it. There were like.... 3 other mountain bikers!

Tried out some new Garneau Typhoon lobster claw type gloves late yesterday afternoon for about 1.5 hours. So far 2 thumbs up and in fact very toasty warm. I'd been using some nice Swix CC ski gloves but my hands keep getting to cold. Hopefully these will do the trick down into the 20 degree range or less.

Love snow but this is great to be able to still ride almost anywhere still.

Spent about 2hrs in Vietnam. Its ridiculaous to ride in a tshirt and shorts in Janurary. Normally I would be pissed about not having a ski season not this year.

Dam, where do you live? Rocky Woods is in my backyard as I live in Medfield. Heading out there now to try out a new Test Ride Specialized 29'r Stumpjumper. Have it for 2 days and never spent any time on a 29'r so for $25 I figured why not. Usual bike is a fully 650B converted Prophet so this will be interesting.

I step out my back door right smack into Rocky Woods, from there, I just keep riding.

I'm on a Rocky Mountain Element, a bit tricked up.
