Biking through National Seashore in Cape Cod

Hey -- how is mountain biking along the national seashore of Cape Cod? Can a 26 pound Turner Spot handle a day of riding there, or is it meant for road bikes? I've never been there, but I've heard it is beautiful...

Are there any "fire roads" to bike along, or is it all paved?

Mostly paved. Not much that I know of off the path. Head to TOT for best singletrack.
The best paved bike paths are the Province land trails just out of Provincetwon center.
Rolling trail along the beach and into beach woods. Lotta fun.

You'd want one of these to ride the Nat'l seashore, or a road bike for ocean drive. There are some old dirt roads and a few singletracks in Eastham/Wellfleet, but I don't know if I'd drive down there just for that.

it's a great day trip for the scenery alone. I agree with icj that a fat bike will let you ride it all but, there is a bit of quality st in wellfleet between lacount hallow rd and cahoon hallow rd. it's called the gauntlet and has some great twisty up and down single track. I wouldn't worry about getting lost in there because your going to hit ocean or or beach road. check it out on google maps you'd be surprised how hilly it is out there(for a sand bar).
