    9/19/15: Landlocked Forest Trail Work

It's trail work time! We've set the next 4 trail work days for GBNEMBA: 9/19/15, 9/26/15, 10/10/15 and 10/17/15. All are the Landlocked Forest. We will be doing much-needed maintenance of the trails north of the gas line. Set a goal for yourselves to get to at least ONE trail day this Fall!

All work days will be from 8:30am to 12:30pm with lunch after. Details for the first one on 9/19 here:

Rode LLF on Saturday for the first time in quite awhile - the work on Refrigerator Door was great; I remember a few of those turns being really ugly.

Yup,we did some nice clean up on milk crate as well, drainage and corridor trimming too. Thought there might be a lager turnout( 4) with 2 more showing up mid morning. Good work done though. Plenty of opportunity for all the riders who pedal there to show some trail love.

I think with a little more notice and more promotion more people would show up. Has NEMBA thought about leaving a sign at the parking lot maybe a few weeks in advance to let people know about the trail work days?

Great idea for a place like LLF that has a dedicated kiosk. I rarely knew about Boston area trail work with NEMBA when I was in that chapter; it was like a "you have to be in the know to know" scenario. That sucked - I wanted to help more, but a 3-day notice wasn't enough.

Facebook posts, NEMBA website, e-mail lists -- all very helpful!

The kiosk idea is a good one, agreed. Maybe some will put one up for the next three trail dates?
