    Great Ride!
We had a great EPIC RIDE today! 15 folks came out, including a very strong 13 year old lad from the Hawley area (plus the famous trail pooch Boomer). Everyone did great! With the rain of the prior day, Earl's trails, which tend to hold water, were not included in the route. The trails of Batchelor St drain very well and are much more challenging, but everyone pushed on like troopers. One rider was taken out very early by a mechanical, and another near the end of the ride. One little shower late in the ride didn't dampen any spirits. In fact, the ride tempo increased as the ride went on and finished quite strong. We were out for about 3-1/2 hours and everyone had had their fill. Dan's girly, Melissa, met us at the parking lot with two huge... pizzas and they were devoured in a flash. (Big THANKS to Melissa!!!) Dan also had fruit and drinks for everyone. A great first installment of The People's Epics for 2012!

Next stop (#2) will be one week from today, Sunday, August 5th in Robinson (Agawam, MA)

Stop #1 was more about riding skillz (B St) and stop #2 will be more about fitness. Easier trails and longer distance. Still at a full intermediate pace.

*** "The People's Epics" series is intended for full intermediate level riders, with an interest in a longer challenging ride. ***

Epic #2 announcement email and details to follow in the next couple days.

Hope to see many faces next Sunday!!!
