    Marin Four Corners Elite 2016

Unbelievable good spec for the asking price here in Europe. No wonder it was a huge hit and basically sold out from the start.

I just ordered one for a friend and after having spend so much time trying to source one I've now fallen in love with the timeless design and thinking of getting one myself.

I wonder how the kinda unusual geometry (very long chainstays, high stack and very long reach!) compares to a more typical road / gravel bike geometry like the Marin Gestalt.

I'm 1.80 height/88 inseam and the Marin sizing chart recommends me a Large but that is kinda hard to believe as even the smaller Medium frame is still 15mm longer than my current bike which fits me well. I'm running a 90mm stem though, the Four Corners seems to come with a 80mm. I'm more worried about the longish chainstays and how the different wheel weight distribution is affecting the ride, the Gestalt is the Gravel bike in Marin's range and comes with 415mm chainstays, a huge difference. I know the Four Corners is more of a travel / bike packing rig and while the Gestalt might probably suit me more as a road / gravel biker I still prefer the steel frame and overall design of the Four Corners.

    Any owners out there??

Nice! I believe I'm getting one myself. I normally ride a 52/53cm, what size would you recommend?

"you normally ride" - haha you're funny. What are your body measurements? (height/inseam)

    I'm shaped strange. I'm 5'9" long torso with short legs. I have a 30" inseem. I can ride a 54cm but I prefer a 52/53cm.

Talking specifically about the Marin Four Corners here, the Medium will be too big thus you'll need the Small frame.

I'm saying this based on my observations that the Medium frame fits me well with my body measurements (180cm/88cm)

Interesting. I was thinking the medium sound got better. I'll have to get with my LBS before we decide and order.
