New question here. 2014 or 2015 Attack Trail XT8

Local shop has a 2014 but sounds like 2015 is coming in November... I'm going to have the bike for 10 years, so not really concerned about saving some money on old one, so Q is far more about spec'.

It feels like the major difference is in the fork and shock.

Both have X9 shifter & rear derailleur, X7 front

2014 has Pike RC Dual Air on front, Rock Shox Monarch RL High Volume,on back. Alex Wheels, Avid brakes
Marin Bikes | Attack Trail Quad Carbon XT8 | Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, and City/Commuter Bicycles | us

2015 has Pike RC Solo on front, Rock Shox Monarch Plus RC3 (which I believe is Debonair) Shimano brakes & Mavic Wheels
Marin Bikes | Attack Trail XT8 | Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, and City/Commuter Bicycles | us

So seems like rear shock is more adjustable in 2015, front shock is more adjustable in 2014.

It was a carbon swing arm in 2014, looks to be alloy in 2015. That said, Trek I'm replacing I have a crack on the chainstay of the swing arm.

    Curious on people's thoughts.

I would say 2015! Who needs a dual position on a fork. At least I don't. Shimano brakes and a Debonair plus is certainly a + for the 2015.

2015 for sure. Avids suck compared to slx and forget duual position fork.
