    fork travel on pro 27.5

I am thinking about a longer fork on my 27.5 and wonder if anyone has tossed anything longer than a 100mm travel on it? What did you use?
Thoughts on a 120 or 130mm travel fork on handling? Or should I be getting a livewire instead?

When it was built by Lynskey in 2018 they put on it a fox 32 sc 100mm travel 29er fork on it. I didnt notice it was a 29er fork and rode it for while but i imagine it is a bit higher in the front than it should be it was a 27.5 fork. So the change might not be huge for me if I stuck with a 27.5 longer travel fork. I have to verify the offset of the fork.

To add more I just looked up the fork id on fox and found out it is has 51mm of offset. So not the 44 that lynskey says it specs when it builds it. Now I am even more confused on which way to go with a new fork. That said I think this thing handles great. I just bottom out the fork more than I want and if I run more pressure in the fox I think its too harsh.

I have a pro 29 and after asking Lynskey they advised not to use a fork with more than 120mm of travel. I am using a fox 34 120 mm

thanks for the reply ...i felt like I was talking to myself

I was thinking 120mm. Since Lynskey built the bike with a 29er fork on my 27.5 bike the fork length is about the same between a 100mm 29er and a 27.5 120mm just a bit longer. A 130mm 27.5 fork would be longer and probably add about a degree to the headtube. The 120 would do the same but should be around 1/2 deg or less in head tube change. I am thinking thats the sweet spot.

But you raised a good idea, I should talk to Lynskey too.
