    Slightly off topic... charger your iphone/Garmin from your light's battery..

    Thought this was interesting enough to share... has anyone used one of these things, and if so, how does it work? Any risk to the iphone?

    Yes, it works. It works buy stepping down the voltage ( of the supply source ) to the voltage used by the phones. I believe all phones operate on the same ( USB ) voltage ( 5V ).

    I use one to top up my GPS now and then. Very handy.
