Recommend me a cheapo DX torch for commuting!

    Hello fellow mtb

I need a cheap front light, because my route home from my work passes some very dark passages.
    So:

Must be cheap! like 8-15 $

would be nice if burntime was long, like 50-100 hours

And too, the smaller the better

And guide me to a handlebar mount too please

To get the kind of burn time you're talking about, your only options are low powered led lights. And those are "be seen" lights, meaning only bright enough to allow people to see you, but not bright enough to light up the road for you.

I personally wouldn't waste my time with a light like that. You can however get some nice high powered led torches that will provide plenty of light to ride by in total darkness near the top of your price range, but it will only have a burn time of about an hour or so.

    Something like this.

But you just use a rechargable battery and charge it each night. Yeah, it's more work, but what's the point of having a light with a long burn time if it's so dim that it's useless?
