I'm a new Papa!! (A rider is born!)

To all of my pals here on MTBR, I just wanted to announce the birth of our little Hana Rose!

She was born at about 1am on Thursday morning and was 7lbs 10oz and 19in long, she's a strong and healthy baby girl. My wife and I very excited, as is her 2 year old sister. She doesn't sleep very much just yet but she makes up for it in cuteness.

I am sure that many of you guys and gals will meet her at bike events in the future, that will be fun. I can't wait to teach her how to ride bikes!

Just thought I'd let you all know why I disappeared for a few days there. I hope you all have a had great weekend!

    Shannon "Proud Papa" Scott

    Congratulations mate!

Having two little ones that young isn't just double the work, it's more like 10 x as hard
Be prepared for your wife to lay down the law regarding how much free time you have now.
I know in my case, when our 2nd baby came, mountain bike rides became way less frequent, and worst of all it was time discharge from the army and get a boring civie job.
But you wouldn't change being a dad for anything, would you

All the best to you, Digger.

Congrats man! The second one is easier than the first - you are in for some good times. My boys are spaced at about 2 years, and now that they are 4&2, life is even easier!

Best advice I can give is...... go get the "snip" so it does not happen again lol.

I have a 4 and 7 yr old.....good times! My 7yr old just did a 4mile loop on the weekend at the local xc track, I was stoked!

Congrats Shannon to you and your wife. Who ever said two is easier than one should be shot. Ours are way more work than 1 x 1. Still, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Love your kids and wife, enjoy life to the fullest.

Thanks everybody! Our little Hana is a lot of fun, I am grateful for the knowledge that they are even more fun the older they get and as huge added bonus, they actually begin to sleep for more than an hour at a time. If you see me posting at 2am in the future you'll know what is going on.

    Thanks again!

    Shannon

PS - Marty check the shots from the 24hrs of Moab, we had a Strykr Pro mounted up nicely on our older daughters jogging stroller - ain't being a Dad awesome??!

Please tell me you meant to say, "go get a sip". I think having a couple cold ones ( or warm ones depending on where you hail from ) would be the better way to go.

Shannon, congrats on the new family member.

Squeeze your wife's ass and tell her you love her, kiss your two healthy kids goodnight and smile cause you got it good...
Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
    Where we should go,
    We just ride...

This is just not acceptable - you can't announce a new product without listing all the improved features

My little boy (our first) was born on Thursday so I understand what its like to be bursting with excitement.

Enjoy it while you can - all too soon she will be a teenager
