    Hunk Lee question...connectors...

I see Hunk Lee can do the threaded connectors compatible with the SSX2. Can he do the standard MS-type that actually snap together (waterproof/shielded)? The one shown on his Ebay store look to be the type that the connection doesn't have the bit that hangs over to shield it.

What's his store name. I've been looking for a connector w/o the threaded connector.

Been covered alot, he has a list of connectors in many of the listings, the one we want is in there, I just don't remember the number he uses to reference it.

Ti, the listings ive looked at had a chart showing pics of the connectors, I could swear he had a standard MS style on that chart but I could be wrong.

Edit: Appears im wrong too. Not sure why he even lists those style, they are crap for cycling.

Also id check put mtbrevolution.com. Xeccon packs are about the same price but include their sweet neoprene pouches

You are correct. These are not true MS type connectors. They will work with lamps using the MS connectors but as you said the lack of rubber shielding results in a "less than desirable" connection. On the up-side this type of connector works great with DiNotte lamps ( which have the shielding on the lamp side ).

If "Hunk Lee" offers the regular MS type connectors it would be news to me. He even asked at one point if there was anything that he could offer that would make his batteries more desirable. He was told about the connectors. I have no idea if he now sells/uses the MS type connectors.

I have DiNotte and actually want the non shield connector Cat talks about. However, maybe I just don't know how to navigate the site as ll I can find is the threaded connector. I contacted Hunk and all he could say is "connector shown is connector". I don't think he understands all English he reads.

If you have a link to the non shielded connector and battery pack that'd be great.

    Thx

not a shielded connector, just snap together which is the common connector type for most lights these days. He has pictures on the listings of the connectors he offers, thats all he has, not the type we want.... and the connectors we want are SO EASY TO COME BY FOR HIM. Retails they are less than $2. BUt for some reason he wont use them.

The screw together wouldnt be bad, its jsut no one uses them, and the ones he uses have 22awg wire with really thin casing so apparently prone to cracking in cold conditions.
