New question here. How to carry a 4-cell battery?

Sometimes I prefer not to carry a camelbak. That leaves me having to put a bulky light battery in my shorts pocket. That isn't comfortable, and the cord barely reaches my helmet. To add to that, I would kinda like to add a second light with a second battery. I don't have any jerseys with pockets on the back. I'm considering rigging them to a belt.

How do you carry 4-cell light batteries?

That's a good idea. My Dinotte light only works with a 4 cell battery. I have had a 4 cell on my helmet before, and the weight fatigued my neck a little.

What's the pack size? Maybe you could get a belt pouch that is close in size (for example, I have a belt pouch that holds a pair of police gloves; it would fit my 4x18650 pack perfectly).

Not it, but it gives an idea.

if it runs on 8.4V batteries it will run on a 2 cell. But you cant just run it on high the entire time as your runtime will be about half that of a 4 cell. Number of cells doesnt matter, its voltage that matters. Number of cells determine run time.

I do the same, 2 cell on the helmet. Jersey pockets are nice too and Camelback if you use one is perfect.

A quick solution is like that pouch mentioned above. Head to a couple stores and see what you can find that will fit the battery pack. Or you can also go with the zipper waste pouches some guys use instead of Jersey pockeys.

Thanks. I was wanting to be minimalist, but I decided to just buy a Dakine waist bag. It would be nice if those battery packs came with a belt clip on them or something, but I don't have a good belt anyway.
