Gloworm XS vs L&M Seca2000: Which would you buy?

    Hi folks,
Looking for a good light for single tracks in the dark.
The price for the L&M Seca2000 Enduro has dropped and is now the same as the Gloworm XS. About AUD$350.

Both are 2000+ lumens, and both will give 2.5-3 hours on max.

Which would you buy and why?

FYI----I currently use a L&M Taz1200 on the handlebar (fantastic light), and a cheapo eBay light on my helmet (absolute rubbish)!

    Thanks !!

I would get the gloworm simply becuse it uses almost no plastic in its external construction.

You already have a great bar light (Taz) that your happy with so my recommendation would be to go with the Gloworm.

    REASONS:

    1) Better beam pattern for helmet use. The Gloworm makes more power and has a narrower/more focused beam that will provide you with more throw.

    2) Better helmet fit. The Gloworm lighthead is physically much smaller, lighter, and has an excellent mount that keeps the light close to the helmet. The helmet profile with the Gloworm will be CONSIDERABLY lower.

    3) Remote switch. Much easier to use bar or helmet IMO (advantage Gloworm).

    4) Adjustable light intensity. The Gloworm allows you to adjust each light setting to your needs in 10% increments, the Seca's settings are preset.

    5) Battery connectors. The Gloworm uses a standard MS style connector allowing the use of many battery sources (Gemini, Magic Shine, Xeccon). The Seca's connector is propriatary. The lights may be similarly priced now but battery replacement will be higher with the Seca.
