Does my Xeccon Sogn 1100 have programmable modes?

    hey all,

I have a Sogn 1100. Does this have a driver with programmable brightness like some of my other light heads had? If so, how do I access it?

The reason I ask is right now, even on "high" the output of the lamp is nothing impressive. It ends up getting washed out by my other bar lamps. My ripoff of a yinding was brighter and had better throw. I was thinking maybe the driver was programmed lower and I could change that.

Otherwise, I'm quite happy with the light. It's well-made, water resistant, runs for a long time, and came with an excellent stock battery pack, and has a pretty cool removable break-away helmet mount. I just wish its brightness was more along the lines of the advertised lumens, as it wasn't a total cheapo light kit.

    Thanks!

It's a single XM-L emitter, doesn't even advertise as an XM-L2. My guess then is it's probably 700/800 lumens max. So not all that bright by todays standards. I would be very surprised if there was a hidden mode as its not a potent light that could afford to have reduced output modes.

Hi 300hp, no the light is not programmable. It's an underdriven XM-L T6 road/commuter light hence the good runtime. It won't perform well as a helmet light due to its shallow reflector. Suggest you try the S12 set for $49 inc standard delivery.

    Leonard,

Thanks for the reply. Given the run times I've been getting, that makes sense. I might just keep it as-is for commuting and xc skiing at night.....but I still need a good helmet light.

I'll check out the s-12. Is it available as light head only?

    Thanks again,

    H.

Sure. $30 for lighthead and 2 o-rings. Standard delivery can take up to 3 weeks.
