    Cheapo commuter option...opinions?

Looking for three sets of really basic (meets legal requirements, provides rideable street lighting) and found these on Amazon. Thoughts?

Honestly, your asking about flashlight mounted on the bars. Most things will work for what your asking. but those excuses for tail lights I would be surprised if they were more even as good as cheap things you get at walmart.

Advise, if your on lit streets you dont need much for a headlight, but get a decent tail light, dont get stuck on "sets". Tail light is a big important one, gotta be bright enough for ppl to actually see you. Not those sorry excuses for red led keychains shown in the set you linked.

Subbing to thread. I need a headlight Mostly to be seen.

Also want a good tail light.

Want them both to be easily removed before going up on the mountain.

if our looking to buy from amazon theres alot of options tat are fair priced. Tai lights figure on spending $10 for a decent one. Theres things with commuting you dont want to be too cheap on cause being seen is the mst important thing and neverknow when you may run into a time when you dont have light on the street besides your own.

Check out all the cree bike lights on amazon and basically take your pick for how much you want ot be seen and how much light you need. Alot of good info on all the options throughout this sub forum.

    To the OP.

REI has a tail light on clearance for $11. Originally a $30 light and it gets solid reviews.
