    Cateye double shot battery

I have had the Cateye double shot for a long time (like 10+ years). It works pretty good. I did notice that my battery isn't lasting as long. I don't think they sell this model anymore.

Are there options for a battery replacement? Can I get a couple of batteries relatively cheap and then still use this light?

How much better is a new light? I wouldn't be opposed to buying a new light, but I'd want both brighter and longer run time. I ride on the road, off-road, and sometimes use it for hiking/non bike stuff

    Thanks for your help!

NiMH cells are still readily available. The downside is that they are heavier than Li-Ion cells for the same capacity.

If they actually used some kind of constant current LED driver, you might be able to substitute Li-Ion cells.

Can you measure the NiMH battery pack voltage when it's fully charged?

Can you see how many NiMH cells they used in the battery pack?

    There's 10 cells in there.

I'm still using it and when it fails I'm just going to get a cheap led
