    Bontrager light advice

Just getting started into night rides. I got a bontrager ion 800 for xmas and mounted it on my helmet. Went out last night for first time and it worked fantastic. Really enjoyed the night ride. Thinking about buying another for the handlebar. My question is, if the light on helmet puts out 800 lumens and the bar light puts out 800 lumens will the trail effectively be lit up to 1600 lumens? So will the trail be brighter or do I need a brighter light on the bar? Thx for help.

No (do the doubled output question).
The light on the bar is to see your immediate surroundings while the helmet light is for you to determine where you want to go.
