    Best ~$200 helmet light

Getting back into night riding after a few years off and need a new light. I have done a few rides with my niterider Lumina 700 commuter lights one on the bars and one on the helmet and want more for riding real downhills. I would prefer to keep a lumina on the bars and add a much brighter helmet light for the riding I do and so I don't have to pony out for 2 new lights right now.

I would like a minimum of 3 hours of run time at 50/50 low and high usage (up and down) with an easy to use switch and a remote battery. 2000 lumens + with a good beam pattern and would prefer a warmer colored light. I want something that is plug in and go, I don't have time to build something to save money but am open to most options.

What are the best options for this? I can get some light and motion deals so might spring for a seca 2500 race for a bit over my desired budget. Any black friday deals coming up?

Extra points for a lightweight head that mounts easily, I have a giro feature helmet.

REI is having a sale on lights. I just bought a seca 2000 for about $200 which is about $60 off i believe.

Check out the NiteRider PRO 2200 light. It's pretty much the ultimate helmet-mountable, light-weight light. Run the cord down the back of the helmet, and toss the battery in your camelbak. Even on medium it's way more than adequate and will last a long time. Having the battery in a pack will help it last a little longer in colder temperatures too since it'll be more insulated.
Plenty of fall-time coupons available on several sites to cut the cost. Wishin' I could grab one myself right now.

I haven't seen gloworms on sale, but might not be looking at the right place. The RAKC looks like a good deal. How do the lens diffuser lights compare to the reflector lights in beam pattern? Are there any recent comparisons showing light patterns of this year lights online? A lot of what I have found is older lower output ones.

Haha there is always one......This is for VIPs (mailing list) only. And you're correct, only those who were VIPs before the email was sent will be able to use this code.

There may be a Black Friday Sale, but it won't be announced for a while yet.

Sorry guys, but I suggest if you want deals like this in the future, to sign up to the VIP list....

    Cheers

Leaning towards the RAKC Theia due to the lower price for the same output and lighter head than the Seca or Gloworm. Hard to find independent review but the light looks solid.

Theres a couple reviews here, One titled about night being an old friend and another about the Theia directly from user "daleintexas" I think.

Lights are relatively new to the US (really big in Europe) as we just started working with MTS last winter. There were some bugs in the begining as we got first release of wireless versions but all bugs have been worked out and the new aluminum mounts to eliminate the band mounts entirely.

Ordered a Theia after an email conversation with RAKC. Should be a big upgrade. I also need to get a 35mm bar mount for my lumina, anyone have an extra?
