    Best Flashlight combo?

    Hey Guys,
been going through the forums for weeks now and my head aches lol.
There is so much information on the light/DIY forums its overwhelming.

I am looking for a relatively cheap light solution, i don't mind swapping batteries mid run if i have to.

I was thinking 1 or 2 floods on the bars and a spot on the helmet.

What would you guys suggest as a complete package going up to as much as $250?

    Thanks in advance...

    Okay try :-

2 of these on the bars call it $32 each ( $64 )

One of these on your head :- $44, waiting on a $7 improved reflector to make it more of a spot to.

    2 Chargers $8 each.

    3 sets of 18650's $10 per set so $30.

So All in with the new reflector $153 WELL IN!!! loads left for Brackets of some kinda ( inner tube )

Alternatively on your head, if you want more of a spot try 2 of these $24 each.

I use a pair of the 2-mode MTE P7 torches, also from dealextreme:

Very very good. One of my mates has a light and motion Seca, and its superior optics do beat out these torches, but not drastically- and the price difference is huge. Other friends with assorted Newts, Joysticks, Hope 2s, and smaller Light and Motions are all quite annoyed that their expensive "proper lights" are beaten by my cheap torches.

I'm not sure of the value of a spot. Certainly not a lower output spot, it'll not give much more effective range than the P7's very powerful flood, and I used to find the "bright spot" of my old 250 lumen cree to be a total pain, bobbing around inside the main flood. The 2 P7s work better, IMO. I wouldn't object to a slightly tighter beam on one of them but it's not been a problem.

Oh, this is getting a lot of attention:

Not tried one, can't recommend for or against it but assuming it's reliable and doesn't have a horrible beam, that's a stonking deal.
