    Any night racing this fall?

18 hour race this weekend. Haven't used my lights off road since last winter...doing a shakedown ride tomorrow night to make sure things are sorted. Anyone else?

    Very cool! What race?

I have not raced for a very long time. A lot of of the major 24 hour races have disappeared. We have a couple, Elephant Rock down in Castle Rock, CO and the 18 hrs of Fruita, but both are very short, and boring courses. I guess you don't want too much technical in an overnight race. I thought the 24hrs of Moab course was awesome. We also just had one of the hardest races, the Vapor Trail 125 in Salida. Starts at 10 pm, one big loop 125 miles with 20,000 feet of climbing and descending.

Just found this list of this years races - Endurance Race Calendar Page 2. May have to take a closer look

Looks like you are doing Scout's Honor in Virginia. Saw a video showing some of the course, looks fun!

You going solo our doing a team?

Yep...Scout's Honor. 4-man team. Solo doesn't do much for me.

Race went well. Did 4 night laps, each about 45 min/8.5 miles long. 2 in a row was my longest out between charges. Charge between each lap normally. The Duo/Xera is an absolutely killer set up for this and I LOVED my new GoPro mount I got from the fellow on this board that makes/sells them. So much better than the rubber band mount that tended to slip down over time. I just run these things on high the whole time and never outrun them. My night laps were only a min or so shy of my fastest/PR day lap. So much fun to night race! We also had folks with SSX2s/3s as well as the new Nitefighter BT21...no issues with any lights/batteries on the teams.
