    2S2P 4x NCR18650B 6800mAh Flat battery pack from Kaidomain

Some time ago it was already anounced in this thread http://forums.mtbr.com/lights-night-...ce-995303.html

Now here is a brief review since the cells used are exactly the same as in the thread above.

This pack comes with 4 high quality Li-Ion Panasonic NCR18650B battery cells connected in 2S2P setup. There are essentialy only two differencies with the clasical brick setup. This one does not have ruberized shell and pouch, but all four cells are set in one flat row.

Discharging at 2A down to 3.0V per cell gave me usable capacity 6300mAh which is almost identical as with the pack above. Discharge curves are nice and cells maches each others. Since the cell are declared to be at full capacity down to 2.5V it can give some more energy, but down to 3V is good enough. Discharge graph:

The cable is 20AWG so the voltage drop is minimized. Since this pack is intended to be keept in a cloth pockets or in the backpack it is only shrinkwraped.

Labels is wrong - it shows cells used instead of pack capacity.

It came charged to the 7.24V and totaly balanced:

    Capton tape intensively used:

PCM is 8205A based and should stand 6A current:

When tried to dischare it down to 2.5V per cell I've got PCM cuts off at 5.6V (2.8V/cell) which is good to prevent overdischarge of the pack. PCM restored output at about 6V when the cells regenerated a bit.

    Conclusion.

This flat pack is of very good quality and usable when you need to keep pack on the warm near the body. Since you might sweat during the cycling I would suggest you to put it into some plastic bag. This should prevent coroding of metal parts.

    Highly recomended!

I'm glad to help. Now we have a bunch of good quality packs of different shapes and capacities. I think we have covered most of our needs.

Lets just hope that the quality stays the same and no one decides to use fake cells...Every once in a while we need the buyers to check the capacity of the packs when buying new ones just to make sure.

Since I have closely work with Kaidomain on those packs I have confidence on them. They are not one of the shops where you can buy everything. They are pretty much related to the ligts and they know something about them and related stuff. Not shure how big is their stock, but they told they have quite a lot of Panasonic cells. Of course it is not bad to check the quality from time to time.
