    What adapter/charger do I need?

    Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a light, but the charger crapped out after three charges.

The charger has the following on the label:

    AC/DC Adapter
    Input: AC100-240V 50/60Hz 0.5Amax
    Output: DC8.4V --- 1.5A

My question is what can I get to replace this to charge my light? Does it need to be exactly an 8.4V, 1.5A adapter? Many of the results for 8.4 are for laptop.

Sorry if this is a very basic question

yes it has to be lithium ion 8.4 volt -and- not more than 1.5amps (less is OK), to match your battery pack and cc/cv requirements

    Thanks, 127

Just to be sure, will an 8.4v 1A be a suitable replacement for the 8.4v 1.5A adapter - the step down in amps isn't too large?

Thanks! For a couple of dollars for a plug, this isn't an issue. As long as it's safe and doesn't compromise the battery, that's all I'm concerned about
