    Trail Tech lights

Has anyone had any experience -- bad or good -- with either of these two lights:

At 1,850 Lumens, the latter one appears to be extremely bright, possibly too bright!

I have the MR11 flood version with NiMH battery bought directly from TrailTech. The light works with no issues, but I have used it only a few times. The whole package is good and the trailtech controller is quite useful. At the time it was by far the best value for money in the HID world.

It has been replaced by a combination of LED lights that I crafted myself. They are: 3xCree XR-E at helmet and 4xSeoul P4 at the bars all driven up to 1A.

    Regards,
    Stefan

I have two of the MR11 lights, one flood, one spot. No problems except the switch ends up in awkward places (the moto vs bike thing). A buddy has has controller issues on his.

Works very well for me. would get both as spots if I did it again. Pushes the light much further out with little loss of peripheral light and seems brighter overall.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

While you’re waiting for replies Tomasz, try having a bit of a search around here on MTBR as there’s plenty of information and reviews of these lights.

    Dave.
