Switch failure on Magicshine HA iii - Help!

    Hi

My Magicshine light has developed a fault. The "clicky" switch has become unreliable. It works for a while then stops working again. I think it is worse in cold weather. The switch is an intermittent contact single pole job so I think it is the circuitry behind it that is the issue. Any ideas which component might be failing?

Hey Mike, i`m not familiar with that light, but
even if the switch is suspect, take the light apart and look for any other possible faults first
ie water ingress, loose connections then check the switch
intermittent faults are a pain to trace
i`m sure new switches are available from somewhere though
    anybody ????

I think that most LED torch lights work in a similar way, the switch provides an contact briefly when it is pressed but the circuit uses this as a signal to change state. Although I have this problem with my Magicshine now I have had the same problem on several other cheaper torches.
