Question re assembly of MTE p7 torch

I am in the process of wanting to run external batt packs on my p7 torchs. For the life of me however i cannot take off the battery tube from the lens head?

    How do i remove it?

    Thanks!

The two I had were both threaded and glued on. So 2 big pairs of channel locks and some serious twisting took care of things. I did leave marks in the aluminum housing due to the amount of force needed to break the glue.

After taking mine apart I wondered if running it and getting the glue hot may have made it easier breaking the glue. Nothing to lose by trying that.
My default is usually brute force though, often followed by large amounts of JB Weld to repair inflicted damage.

Vice on the battery tube, with some nice bits of wood to stop the scuffing and a waterpump wrench, as above with a couple of old of inner tube and you have no marks!!
