Opinions on Nashbar Beacon 1 watt
Hello, I'm looking for a decent cheap headlight. I see this: http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...Front%20Lights
    or http://snipurl.com/3odu2

Anybody used this light? I really just want something that is bright and flashes for visibility all the time and could throw enough light to help me along on my occasional slow paced night ride. I bought one cheap 5 LED headlight from ebay and it was crap. I've bought other Nashbar stuff and found it's quality to be just fine for my needs but worry about a headlight since it takes so much vibration and is made of plastic. Maybe I should go for a cateye or other major brand in the $30 range?

    Thanks,
    Edward

From my experience with simple 1 watt luxeon flashlight/headlights, they're roughly around 100 lumens and basically good enough for simple road commuting.

How does 100 lumens compare to the amount of light from say, a typical cheap 5 LED flashlight?
