Old Jet Lites - anyway to use them with today's battery tech?

    Hello,

I'm wondering if there is any way for me to make use of my old Halogen and HID Jet Lites. I tried charging them up but the battery doesn't seem to have much life in them anymore.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Ive never worked on a Jet system but it should be possible to replace or rebuild the battery pack with new cells. From old description, sounds like it uses a 14.7v battery pack consisting of 4x individual cells wired in series. I recently gathered a bunch of LiPo cells from laptop packs at my office, seems that most newer laptops have gone to LiPo bags instead of cylindrical 18650 Lion cells. The overall laptop battery can die when individual cell bags develop resistance, overheat and puff out but I found plenty of cells that were still undamaged and useable from these packs that were in the recycle bin. .
