    New Easy2led M36 build with Cree XHP70 and H6flex

I am past the planning phase and have ordered parts from cutter.com.au and digikey

Led is Cutter-XHP70-20-40E4H-90 Its a 6V star and 4000k color temp.
I presume 6v star because the 12V version probably would take the h6flex out of regulation with any of my various 4cell lithium packs.

With the H6flex beaing able to pump out 6.6Amps its a moot point any way.
The official max current for xhp70 is only 4.8Amps so H6flex should work great. I will start off with 5A hight setting and see how it goes.
At full blast I should be able to get about 4000 lumens.

    I already have an M36 easy2led housing.

I also have a h6flex sitting around. I would have never thought to put is into my M36 housing before seeing this

I will try a few different 35mm optics - ledil Minnie reflector ledil eva lens. i could also try the ledil eva lens I have, but i expect the iris to to be the clear winner.

    I will use a turnigy nanopolymer 4cell 2.6AH battery

Have a look at the Fraen narrow reflector for MC-E. Tested one of those on my bench with the XHP70 and it looks really good.

Be interested to see how this turns out as I have NW XHP-70 kicking around just itching for a home. I have thought about building it up in the M36 housing similar to my MT-G2 light but haven't been able to decide on reflector/optics. I would want something that prevents a dark spot in the middle of the hot spot without making the light too floody.

Fraen FRC does look like a good candidate: http://www.fraensrl.com/images/fraen...-datasheet.pdf
