    need moderator help

    sorry not sure who to contact, but I show 65k messages in private, so consequently never know when I have new ones?

    Make sure that your imformation are all write on it.Then check it again. If still fail, contact the administrator. Good luck!

    Hey Graham,

    Sorry for the problem. There is actually a workaround...if you mark a messages as unread and reopen it, it will correct the count error.

    Please give this a try.

    It's a binary counting thing. For some reason the system thinks you have -1 unread messages (as opposed to zero). In 2s complement in a 16 bit counter, -1 is represented by 1111 1111 1111 1110. If you translate that to decimal (without taking the sign into account), that equals 65534.

    Google "2 complement" for more information.
