Has anyone got the maxflex manual.I just sat down to start soldering after removing the old dead maxflex and taskled website isn't working.

That would be awesome . I just can't remember which wire goes where and after blowing one up already, I don't really want to take any chances.

    No worries mate,
What do you actually need? Here's a photo of the front of the board.

    Wiring:
Input power....VIN+(positive input voltage) and GND(neg input voltage)
    LED....LED+(LED pos.) and GND(LED neg.)
    Switch....SW and GND

What I need: In the manual it tells you which wire goes to which spot on the board. I can't remember where the wires for the mom swtich and the input power wires go. I don't want to wire it back to front.

Silly me didn't save the manual from taskled when I was last viewing it. Although I wasn't planning on blowing up that maxflex either

    As Deesta says
all negatives go to gnd that is led - power in - switch - stat -

and the rest as the picture .

also when you have it done it will be in the wrong user interface .

my basic set up routine is

plug in the power the light comes on .wait min 3 seconds

3 clicks , the light goes off / on /off then press it comes on dim in the menu entry.

now click 13 times the light flashes each time .after the 13th pres and hold the light comes on dim
one click then press and hold the led will flash twice and go off .
you are now in UIBQ my prefered UI

next unplug the power , and hold the switch while reapplying the power
this puts you in the menu entry again .

the rest is the same as the bflex pdf I sent you

    Cheers Trout and Deesta,

Hopefully there should be a fully functional trout light after I get home from work tonight.

Let there be light!!! Now if only I could remember where the hell I put the bolts that hold the top half of the case on. I carefully put them aside months ago when I blew up the original maxflex and i think they have grown legs.

Woo-hoo Well done OBS, glad to be of service. If you can't find the screws, the ones you'll need are M3 x 6mm countersunk....

It is all good, they were neatly filed in one of those numerous plastic containers that I am sure every DIY guy has kicking around in their parts bin.

Sorting the UI took a bit of reading but once i figured out it was 3 clicks then a press to enter UIF menu, it all became clear. Now it just needs to stop raining so that I can actually take it for a night ride.

Thanks for the help with the wiring!
