    Khatod xpe optics

Has anyone used the 1" dia quad optics? Any info and beamshots would be great as the data sheet didn't seem to be much help to me.

    Cheers

I am running one of the quads for a bar mounted light and it works very well. I have the narrow one and it looks a lot like 3 narrow 1 eliptical 10 mm square optics... if that makes sense. There is enough throw and spread to make a very nice bar mount... I think that it might be a little floody for a helmet mount light though.

    WeLight, thanks for the links.
Do you know if the optics designed for the XP-E/C will work with the XP-G ?

    Hi YB
The concensus from Cree is that they will. It is difficult to apply that to every optic out there as some are marginal quality but we expect for all our Optic vendors for that to apply

I've just had a look at the 32mm PCB with triple XP.. to replace the triple XR-E PCB but will you be doing a quad version like you do with the XR-E?

I have a few of your quad XR-E kits and it would be great to fit a quad XP-G in the same housing.

Yes the 25mm fits the PL1125xx series

so it is the same footprint as 25.4mm optic only it fills out to 35mm

I love your thinking on this

ok something to consider, a vf chart I have seen puts XPG at 1Amp at 3.30vf, means 14.8v battery with a bflex and vf of 13.2, will be a nice workable combination
    Cheers

I Just realised I have one that Mark sent a sample of tucked in with an order
will try and cobble a beamshot in the next few days

with the clear outer it would also look cool with the glow paint inside

    Confirming XPG VF

Just tested with the XPG and they are around 3.3vf on start up and settled to 3.2 at 1Amp.
So 12.8 to 13.2vf for a quad. Very cool
    Cheers

I don't know if that is an update. I think it might properly be called a "tease."

I am wondering about the XP-G pricing when the MC-E was new it was outrageous. If the XP-G is priced like a higher than R2 bin xp-e it will become a clear dollar per lumen winner.

Trying really hard not to get too excited about the xpg....
They're going to be really expensive, not as easy to focus as an xpe, run hot etc etc BUT do I want 7 of the little beauties in an optic 1 1/2" dia? YOU BET!!!!
