Help DX MC-E: how do you tell the + and - pins apart?

I just received this MC-E from DX:
    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16849

It is the bare emitter versions and there are no markings on it at all that I can see to show which bank of pins are positive and which negative.

Can anyone help, or suggest a way to determine this without blowing the LEDs?

I am going to wire this up 2s2p as per the attached diagram (can't remember who originally posted the drawing, but thank you). Perhaps my related question (and demonstrating my clear ignorance of electrical matters) is how does positive current get to dies 1 and 2, and negative current to 3 and 4?

    Thanks

    Tim

You'll notice one of the corners cut off, that's the + side.
You can see it in the diagram that you posted.
