    Gemini Olympia disassembly / repair

Anyone out there disassembled a Gemini Olympia lighthead? I crashed hard and hosed up the power button (sorta pushed into the body of the light). It still functions, but is really hard to cycle through modes and there is no longer any tactile feedback. I'd like to fix if possible, but don't want to hose up the light by incorrectly disassembling.

    Thanks

I disassembled 2 of mine before. First you screw off the bezel, then lift out the triple lens. Depending on what build you have there may be a hold down screw on the face of the pill to remove. If no screws, then you can pull out the pill with the triple led board. You should now be able to get to the driver board side of the pill. I would apply some silicone grease to the on/off button sides to increase water resistance. I also applied a little heat sink compound to the pill outer surface to increase thermal conduction when I took mine apart. While you have the light disassembled you might want to polish smooth the triple lens to increase light collimation. That polishing made my light beam a little tighter.

    gipsyman-
I have the lens and triple led board removed, but don't understand how to get behind the part where the led board rests. Is there anything in particular that I need to do to get in the back part of the light (where the driver and switch reside)?

    thanks
