    DX charger questions

I bought a DX flashlight - the MTE-15 and a charger like EL34 recommended plus some protected Trustfire 2400mah's.

I charged a set up for what seemed like forever and the red lights never shut off. Tested one out with the light on full and it lasted about 1:05 before dimming.

Went to charge them up and the one that was maybe 1/2 charged acted like before. The other one didn't turn the led to red and the charger made a kind of whine sound for 2-3 minutes, the light turned red and now it appears to be charging normally.

So is that typical? I'm thinking yes it is but wasn't expecting that.

    TIA for any advice.

    Thats weird man.
I have one of those chargers, and they take FOREVER to charge 2 cells.
Like 8 hours or something crazy like that.
It may not be 8 hours, but it seems like it.
I did have 2 cells take over 6 hours though.
I may be wrong, but if you charge 1 cell at a time, doesn't it charge faster with that charger?
I seem to remember mine making a whining sound one time as well.
It never really gets hot though....which is good.
Look, whatever happens, don't fight the mountain.

I've just received the same charger - made a scary whine when first plugged in, but it quieted down. First set didn't go green after a couple of hours, but the 2nd set went green after being left overnight. Can't comment on capacities as they're batteries I'm recycling from old laptops
