    DX 3256 Driver Question

I have 4 of these drivers, they are rated at 800ma output but all of mine put out 1070ma.
    There is a thread here

on reducing the current by scraping a resistor but my boards look different to the ones in the DX photos with more resistors.
Is there any way to reduce the current, I have measured it with a digital multimeter in series with the leds.

Well that's a completely different board than the old Zetex based board. Based on the package and the topology it looks like it is based on the AX2002 chip. Those two R47 resistors are the feedback. To get 700 ma you need .33 ohms. You could try the shaving trick on one of those .47 resistors to try and get the right current. Those are the two labeled R47 and are next to the black LED wire. I would seal it when you get it right so water doesn't get in there and change it more later.

The good news is the AX2002 can take 23 volts and can do the 1 amp easy.
