    DIY Batteries w/Lupine Lights

    Yo all,

Looking at replacing an aging Lupine 7.2v 5.8ahbattery w/an 11.1v 7.5ah battery pack from batteryspace...

    http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=3272
...which also says it's mAh in one place but Ah in another...

It's $27 vice .$200 for the Lupine battery. Solder the connection from the old Lupine and Bob's your uncle for a huge savings...am I missing something??

That is a 750mAh pack (0.75Ah), NOT a 7.5Ah pack. I don't know what Lupine light you have, but that battery would give you a very short runtime for any of them. The max discharge rate for that pack is 7.5A so I can see where it could be confusing. You should probably replace your Lupine battery pack with one of the same voltage (7.2v) or you could do damage to your light.

Something like this would be better:

This is for a Wilma 17W.

Appreciate the info, $40 is still a lot less than $200! Wonder if the runtimes would be similar...
