Bike mount for DIY lights - sku.188890

I have found a quite nice bike mount on DX for less than $3 - seems ideal for mounting simple DIY bike lights. Here is my short review from DX:

I have bought two of this mounts to be used with my DIY bike lights. What I needed was a quick-release mount that I could fix on the bottom of my two non-flashlight-shaped lights. The good news was that the top part can really be completely disassembled so it's ideal for mounting on a DIY bike light (you can even keep the left-right motion). The build quality is really not that bad apart from one critical point - the small plastic piece that actually holds the mount's top and bottom parts together is really not strong enough for all that force. One of mine broke almost immediately and it seems others had similar problems. Luckily, there is an easy fix:

Drill a small hole through the mount (shown here in green) and use a piece of wire or nylon (shown in red) to add some additional support to this part. This is something that's best done before the part breaks, though I have also managed to fix my broken mount.
When mounting on a bike you HAVE TO use a piece of inner tubing or something similar or the mount will slip. Even the small piece of rubber that arrives with the mount is enough.
All in all, a very nice quick-release mount for all the DIY people out there.

If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.
