i found some 7.4v 4000mah li ion packs for cheap. if i wire them in series with the connector below would that give me 14.8v 4000mah? could i charge it as a 14.8v or would i have to charge each individually?

You will have to charge individually with 7.4v charger.

There is a battery connector available made specifically for Makita cordless tool batteries. My brain just can't seem to remember who sells them....especially after my 2nd "Dark & Stormy"

I'm pretty sure I saw it mentioned in a old thread by Troutie, as well as others here.

Bermuda? I wish! I'm in Vermont, it's 11F tonight, and a little antifreeze is in order. Bermuda black rum and ginger beer over ice.....I like ~1:1 ratio

Never had one of those... never heard of a Dark and Stormy, period.

But they sound great! I dig ginger beer... thanks for elaborating.

If You add balancing tabs and have charger-balancer You can charge such serial pack at once - as 4 cell pack
