People can't let go of the Kaboom

A few years ago I had a ride around the block on a buddies Kamboom. It inspired me to hound the owner of the shop I work at to start carrying Kona, we had just dropped GT(thank god). I ended up with a Scrap and love it, but have always wanted the Kaboom. So Iíve been entertaining picking up one as a replacement for the Scrap. Including my friend, it seems that people wil try to sell Kaboomís for one reason or anotherÖ..and canít bring themselves to go through with it. That or people want full retail for a bike made in 98. All of this is just making me want a Kaboom even more.....sigh

Exactly, it was a Single Speed Freeride HT made from 96-98(I think). They didnít make too many it seems, and those who got a hold of them donít want to let them go. Iíd really like a nice versatile SS bike with the Kona geometry. A burly SS with Vís would be so choice for a do-it-all bike for me. And before it is suggested, I don't like the Cowan.

1999, the first year and the best year.

Green with glow decals was 2000, the black one was 2001.
