    Noisy Drop Off fork?

Okay.....this may be a really stupid question....but just wondering if any one else is experiencing this...............Bought a new 05 Coiler and the Drop Off sounds very springy, I mean literally.....it's almost as if there's sounds like there's water in there or something.....is this normal?......like I said just wondering since no other fork I've owned sounds quite so springy.....THX

It's supposed to sound like that. It's the oil inside the fork you're hearing.

    Mine does that too...

My 05 Coiler with the Drop Off fork makes the same noise. I remember someone on this forum refering to it as "the Marzocchi Squish".

    Just be thankful

...that you don't have a rattling, clunking '04 Drop-Off Triple. Mine drove me nuts.

that swooshing sound is the oil in the cartridge flowing in and out- its normal. the high pitched "tink tink" sound is the springs rattling around inside the fork- also normal. to silence the springs, take apart the fork and wrap an old inner tube around them.
