    Cracked Chainstay

I have a 2002 Kona Bear (i think that is the right year) as a back up bike. The lower part of the chainstay has a crack in the small piece holding the two sides together. My questions is will a chainstay from a Dawg work on this bike. I think they are basically the same bike.

    Thanks

Not sure about the Dawg chainstay.....I think it would have to be an '03 or '04 Dawg though since they changed that to a 5" frame not long after that?

FYI, Kona beefed up that cross brace on the chainstays quite a bit after '02. I broke mine a couple years ago (after a ton of abuse) and they shipped one out to my shop no questions asked. Give Kona or your local dealer a shout and get it sorted.

    Cheers,
    EB
