    Welcome to the family

We're welcoming a new bike into the family today.
    A beautiful blue Chilcotin!

    Welcome to the family-p9127809.jpg

The other addition to the family isn't due for another 6 weeks or so!

She's stoked to have her new bike!

Unfortunately the June delivery date wasn't met so she won't be able to ride it until next year. At which point there'll most likely be a child trailer or seat attached to it!!

I'll be building this up over the next few days. Once I've finished it I'll post pics and the build specs on the Chilcotin Build Thread.

Congrats. Both the Chilcotin and baby are a wild and crazy ride....we've got a 10 month old girl and it's been nothing short of amazing. Dare I say even better than the Chilcotin? haha....

Congrats on the new arrival and even more congrats on the arrival you're still expecting! My daughter just turned 11 months and fatherhood is a trip! It gets better every day too (because honestly, the first couple of months aren't ALWAYS great).

    Have fun!!!

Don't be honest with him, that is the last thing he needs!

Really though, congrats to your family on both fronts. Kids are a lot of fun, mine are big enough to ride with me now and it does get more fun all the time.

    Update - The end result!

    The Chilcotin has been assembled.
My wife can't wait to ride her Chili!

And my little girl has her first bike!
It'll be a little while before she can ride it she is just 5 months today.

Your wife is gonna be stoked. Congrats on both additions to the family!!

And your daughter is definitely shredding the Bumbo already! Our daughter is 17 months and we're just getting her to sit on her push bike while we push her around a bit...which is back-breaking, btw! Unfortunately, the standover is the big limiter on most push bikes. Hers is 14" and I've seen a Norco that was about 12.5". I'm gonna need something shorter for her to start scooting around on pronto stat.

Awesome!...... on all four counts. Congrats.

My daughter just got her daughter a balance bike for her 2nd B-day. Can't wait to go riding with the granddaughter.

    My wife's still got it!
Putting the Chili through its paces.
A mother of a 6 month old daughter and riding the big girl line on AC/DC, one of the Westside trails in Whistler this afternoon.

The picture angle doesn't do justice to how steep and technical the line really is.

Yeah, that's right, I lucked out to end up with a woman who loves to ride hard both summer and winter!

Great pic sequence...You can tell it's steep by her good body position and the rear wheel still on her ass. My wife rides, but no way could she pull that line off. Cheers!
