    Jamis Parker Shock Length

I'm going to be buying a DHX air for the parker (its a parker 2) and just wondering if anyone has put a longer shock in theres. At the moment I've got a 7.875 x 2.0 shock in the rear as a temp. The eye to eye length seems fine so I was thinking I could ad .25 to stroke and get a 7.875 x2.25. With the current shock compressed it looks like there is enough clearance for that extra quarter inch. ....

    input?

I just asked Jamis the same thing. Hopefully they will get back to me soon.

Jamis will suggest to keep the proper shock size, 7.875x2.0. Adding the extra .25 inch could put extra presure on the frame and cause it to break. I doubt that it would cause any breakage. As long as it is not rubbing it really doesn't matter if it breaks or not; just put the right shock back in and send it in for warranty. For the record I never got another shock. I started on a rebuild project for my other bike.
