Ever read your Jamis warranty agreement? Interesting stuff.....

    Especially #9 .

9.This bicycle is not intended for use in trick riding, ramp riding, jumping, aggressive riding, riding on severe terrain, riding in severe climates, racing, riding with heavy loads, institutional or industrial use, or any similar activities; such uses may damage the bicycle, can cause serious injury to the rider, and in all cases will void this warranty. Likewise, the bicycle is not intended for use with a motor.

So we can't jump our bike? And please define "aggressive riding". And my severe terrain might be different than yours. I know, tit for tat, and this is to protect them but, non the less, these bikes should be built to withstand mountain biking, which is what we buy them for, not path riding and it sounds like the lawyer that wrote this did not consider the fact that these are not Pashley Guv'nors.

The real question is whether the Jamis warranty uses different language than other manufacturers. That might be the industry norm.

That's the industry normal language for most major brands. Hell at one time the manual shipped with Norco Mountain bikes said that the frame warranty was voided if you rode off-road with the bicycle.

Yes they do! They replaced my cracked Exile 2 with an Exile 3.
