    1997 Jamis mountain bikes

I have a 1997 Jamis Aurora MTB I bought brand new back in '97. However, I cannot not find any info. on it on the internet. All I can come up with is the road bike Aurora. It is outfitted pretty good with LX derailers and hubs, STX brakes, RockShox Quadra21, etc.
Anyone have any info. on this bike or know why I cannot find it online anywhere? It's green with yellow fork and black hubs, WTB tires, 4130 double-butted steel frame, 24 speed. Thx

basically, I'd like to know why I cannot find any info. on it anywhere. It's an Aurora but according to Jamis, that's just a roadbike and I bought the thing brand new in '97. Is it a one-off or what?

jamis is, ans was a small company, and not many mountain bikes, form any company where sold in 1997. Plus it is not a unique bike (light, Ti tubes, etc), or from a unique company (alpinestar)

it is not a one, off

but not much info will be around on that exact bike

dude, you need to reread my original post. the bike pictured as the commuter bike is not my bike. that bike is the road bike converted to his duty. My bike is a MTB and I believe it is a rare bike since there is no info. on it at all- anywhere.

Have you tried to actually contact Jamis? Bikepedia seems to have a pretty good database. try it. 1997 begins on page 38.

    FOUND IT:

A very nice bike for it's day. Still not bad compared to the crap that's being offered in today's money either. Thanks for the help. Oh, it's "Emerald Green". Now I know exactly what I got. It's a '96 and also the last year the "Jamis Aurora" was a MTB. It went to a roadbike in '97. Wife's Cross Country is a '97 found out as well.
